City’s Print Journalism course is recognised as the best in London. Although places like Goldsmith’s are trendier, City is respected in the industry thanks to a serious curriculum. All students are schooled in basic but essential techniques. The course includes sections on all aspects of print journalism from writing to sub-editing and a compulsory shorthand module. While some journalism courses are basically exercises in CV polishing and writing skills, City graduates are known to have a good knowledge of the art and a minimum skill base that makes them useful to editors. For this reason the course enjoys unrivalled ties with the print journalism world and opportunities to network and find employment abound.
