LAMDA is among the most famous and prestigious acting schools in the world. It is very hard to be selected for a course here, but almost all LAMDA graduates find work, a very rare situation for the majority of actors. The courses are rigourous, including not only drama but also such obscure forms as tap dancing and mime. LAMDA graduates are trained up to a very high level and this explains their high rate of employment. (Along with the fact that a huge number of LAMDA people now inhabit the upper levels of the drama world.) LAMDA is among the very best drama schools in the country. Age, gender and even physical appearance have no bearing on who the academy admits, but you must be a good performer of proven calibre.
