A buzzing cultural community space for South London, Catford Mews is home a multi-screen cinema, live entertainment space for music and comedy plus a pop-up food market with local traders. The 14,000 square foot venue, which was opened by the Really Local Group in September 2019, will also eventually have co-working areas and exhibition space. Spearheading a revival of the Catford Centre, the arts venue houses the first new multiscreen in Lewisham for close to 20 years with 220 seats available across three screens. Affordable and inclusive, the cinema hosts weekly Family Favourites on Sunday mornings, babies and carers screenings twice a week and Monday matinees for retirees. Music and art also form a key aspect of Catford Mews with a stage and live performance equipment available encouraging local collectives, artists, groups and schools to get involved. A couple of stalls selling food by local traders and a full-service bar help create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere so you can stop off and refuel before or after a show.
