With an average audience capacity of 70, the Gate has been presenting first class fringe theatre for over 30 years and continues to do so, making it famous for being one of London's best known small theatre spaces. Situated above a pub in Notting Hill, the intimate theatre is one where you can get up close and personal with the actors. These have included well known names such as Jude Law, Sophie Okonedo and Rachel Weisz. Directors Stephen Daldry, Dominic Cooke, Katie Mitchell and Carrie Cracknell have also staged their work at this small but important theatre.
