The Greenwich Playhouse is one of the most modern theatres in the London area. It's certainly not the biggest - it has seating capacity for 84 people but it does have all the mod cons, plus a long theatrical history. A theatre had existed on its current site since 1988 and had switched owners a few times. Between 1995 and 1998 it was known as The Prince Theatre, and 38 productions were staged at the venue. Now known as the Greenwich Playhouse, this theatre has staged well-known plays such as 'The Seagull', 'Hedda Gabbler' and 'The Importance of Being Earnest', as well as smaller productions like 'Absent' and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore.'
