A wonderful night out on London's thriving fringe scene can be had at the Hen and Chickens Theatre, which sits above the cosy, candlelit pub that shares its name. The venue has been going for over 25 years and for the past ten years, resident production company Unrestricted View has been producing shows and inviting companies to perform in the intimate space. The audiences at Hen and Chickens certainly do enjoy an unrestricted view as its 54 raked seats mean that people find themselves ensconced in the action and the convivial atmosphere. Tending towards light-hearted stuff, the company is run by actors for actors with a commitment to new writing and comedy. For pre of post-theatre nosh and wine, the Victorian pub is one of the best theatre bars around to complete a cheerful, sparky, arty evening.Hen & Chickens Theatre images
