In April 2005 Mouth That Roars opened MTR Studio 23 to bring together young people's creations to the public, to share their views and opinions of their everyday life via cinema. The focus is on giving a voice to children who are traditionally under-represented in mainstream cinema. MTR Studio 23 is open daily for free viewing of young people's films and also boasts a range of independent film & world cinema. 'Grime Over Time' and 'Fashion' documentaries shown on Channel 4 were produced here by young people from Tower Hamlets. There's also an area where you can hire your own film, plug in your headphones and have a private screening for up to four friends - the choice is mainly foreign and arthouse movies but at £2 a pop it's a great way to go to the flicks. In the on-site café you can get a cheap jacket potato, cookie and coffee.Studio 23
