Museum Of Comedy Opened in spring 2014, the Museum of Comedy is "particularly strong on the history of British comedy" (Evening Standard). Combining live shows with a museum collection curated by Leicester Square Theatre director, Martin Witts, it's a celebration of comedy. Martin's collection of over six thousand comedy related artefacts - including The Two Ronnies' glasses and Charlie Chaplin's caneto - is the source material for the permanent display under the crypt of St George's Church Bloomsbury. The museum also puts on seasonal exhibitions throughout the year curated by leading lights of the comedy industry. Live performance is part of the package. You can catch a comedy or cabaret show at the 72 seat performance space while t he museum's Academy of Comedy - a centre of excellence for all things humorous - features master classes from some of the country's leading comedians including Jerry Sadowitz, Spymonkey and Logan Murray. Buy a Cooper-style fez in the gift shop and a drink at the bar which opens two hours before performances and hosts a weekly comedy show on Mondays at 7pm, entry is just one pound.
