The Cottesloe Theatre is the black box studio space of the National Theatre. It is also the smallest, the simplest and the most flexible - and many people would argue that it is also the most influential. The dark, rectangular room holds up to 300 people. Some of the most notable productions held at the Cottesloe include Old Movies by Bill Bryden and Joanna Murray-Smith's Honour.
