Times have changed since the Olympia first flung open its doors to the public on Boxing Day 1886 for the Hippodrome Circus, with the promise of a spectacle involving 400 performers, 300 horses and six "funny" elephants. These days state-of-the-art equipment and a team of skilled in-house technical and support staff are on hand to help event organisers provide both trade and public shows that are top of their class. Top events that have taken place at the venue include the Great British Beer Festival and the BBC Good Food Show. Comprising Olympia Grand, Olympia National, Olympia Central, Olympia West, the Pillar Hall, Apex Room and the purpose-built Olympia Conference Centre, which boasts a 449-seat auditorium, exhibition area and reception, there's a space for every type of event. There's also the freedom to use the rooms in conjunction with each other or independently, giving Olympia London a new-found versatility.
