For a completely different kind of theatre experience, hop on board the Puppet Theatre Barge. Launched in 1982, this floating puppet theatre has 50 seats and travels along the Thames during the summer, giving performances at Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Cliveden and Richmond upon Thames. The theatre spends the winter docked opposite number 35 Blomfield Road in Little Venice. To find where the boat is, check its website. Performances here are anything but typical.
