Hot Club Gypsy Swing is a bizarrely niche musical genre for a wine bar in Battersea. Live acts vary depending on which night of the week you're there. This means that on a Monday you may find a swing violinist from Australia or an Italian gypsy quartet on guitars, bass and clarinet. Whereas if you come here on a Sunday you might be treated to a Balkan blend of violins, backed up by an accordion and belting out a soulful rendition of traditional folk and Eastern European klezmer pieces. The unusual musical mix, along with the chic 1930s decor, definitely makes this place stand out from the crowd. Check their website www.quecumbar.co.uk for live music listings.
