Popping up for a short time only, The Albert is a temporary arts and community venue in Queens Park which makes use of a previously empty space - the former British Legion on Albert Road. Run by What-If projects and H2 Dance, a whole range of classes and activities are being held at the venue in South Kilburn including art classes, performances, a cafe, restaurant and studios for artists as well as an external ballcourt and green space area. Anyone can take part in the project by joining the cycle training or trying out something new. Interesting activities to explore include a community food growing project, cookery classes, a public kitchen, exhibitions, and a food market. To start things off, in February there are free Qiqong classes on Mondays, £5 yoga classes on Tuesdays and drawing classes for £2.50 on 3rd and 17th February 2013.
