The love-child of two comics Pete Jonas and Erich McElroy, The Comedy Tree has been bringing hilarious stand-up performances to south west London since 2002. Renowned for its high quality line-ups and intimate atmosphere, The Comedy Tree has attracted some of the world's beacons of hilarity, including Stephen Merchant (the tall one from Extras) and the long-haired lothario Russell Brand. This club has has numerous venues in Putney - including both the Walkabout and Wahoo bars - but has now settled in a new venue on the Upper Richmond Road with weekly Thursday night shows featuring the cream of the comedic crop. Big-name stars such as Lee Mack, Milton Jones and Micky Flanagan, share the stage with stand-up circuit regulars and fresh faces. There are few better ways to prepare for the weekend than with a £15 Thursday night comedy deal - which includes entry into the Comedy Tree, a gourmet burger and a bottle of beer.
