The 100 Club
Nearby The 100 Club

Founded in 1942, The 100 Club has made a name for itself by hosting innovative bands and has always been the vanguard of cutting edge music. In the 1940s and 50s, this basement club hosted Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball and Humphrey Lyttleton and it was at the epicenter of jazz, swing, boogie and blues. That music was replaced with the likes of Rod Stewart in the 60s, and arguably one of its crowning moments was when the club hosted the first punk festival, which included unsigned bands like The Clash and The Sex Pistols. Today, The 100 Club may be a bit dingy and worn at the edges, but it continues to host some of the bands in the world, from acoustic sessions from up and coming bands to live gigs from The Hives and Kings of Leon. The 100 Club events
