This collection of real life film sets, famous props and everything to do with the flicks takes you on a behind the scenes tour of the world of the silver screen. At the London Film Museum (previously The Movieum of London) there are special sections on the History of the Studios - Elstree, Pinewood and Shepperton - a step by step guide to film making and a recreation of the set of Sherlock Holmes, made using all of the original set pieces courtesy of Granada. There's lots for younger visitors to enjoy too with plenty of interactive elements from 3D modelling to the green screen in the virtual studio - and it's all free for under fives. ?Listen to Oscar winning artists talking about some of the biggest blockbusters of all time and add your own noises in the sound studio. See the Sci-Fi Suite and visit the Getty Images photographic space. Entrance also includes admittance into The Animation Gallery where cartoons come to life. Situated within County Hall, opposite the Houses of Parliament, near the London Eye and next to the London Aquarium, there's plenty of family fun in the area.London Film Museum images
