Located in Greenwich, South East London, Up The Creek is one of the UK?s best comedy venues, offering true intimacy with a diverse range of acts throughout the week. A who's who of comedy acts have taken to its stage including Russell Brand, Rich Hall, Steven Merchant and Reginald D. Hunter, while household names such as Jimmy Carr, Harry Hill, Al Murray and Jo Brand all started their stand-up careers at Up The Creek. Best of all, a varied schedule greets comedy lovers from all backgrounds during the week. The first Wednesday of every month sees the unique innovation of comedy speed dating; Thursdays play host to the Comedy Variety show, a free open mic night where new comedians can take their first stand-up steps in front of a legendarily tough comedy audience; Fridays and Saturdays see a traditional line-up of stand-up comedians, followed by a less traditional disco after the show; finally, the weekly Sunday Special event offer a first class end to the week. Voted by The Guardian in 2009 as the UK's top comedy venue, Up The Creek is a must visit for comedy fans.
