The announcement of the arrival of the Pan Pacific London hotel marks the first European venture for the Singapore-based luxury hotel group. Set in One Bishopgate Plaza, a mixed used 41-storey landmark tower just across from Liverpool Street Station, the 237 guest rooms and suites here have been designed by Yabu Pushelberg. The Canadian design firm is also responsible for the Four Seasons Toronto, W New York Times Square and the St Regis San Francisco. At the London hotel, the largest ballroom in the Square Mile - big enough for 400 people - sits alongside nine meeting spaces including four creative spaces centred on a home-style kitchen. In their downtime, guests can work out and unwind at the indoor infinity pool, with views of the street, and fitness area. The signature Pan Pacific suite, perched on the 19th floor, is the epitome of luxury with spectacular views of City landmark, The Gherkin. Above the hotel, from levels 21 to 41, are the private sky residences while adjoining the hotel at ground level is Bishopsgate Plaza, a new public square in the heart of the City framed by Devonshire Row, with its listed facade and modern glazed canopy roof covering the restaurants and shops within.
