Home to Reading Football Club, the Madejaki Stadium just outside Reading is also where the London Irish rugby union club play their home games. Opened on the site of a former household waste dump in August 1998, at
a cost of more than £50m, the stadium can hold over 24,000 spectators. The Royal Berkshire
Conference Centre, the Millennium Madejski Hotel, and the £1m
