This fab game emerged in 1980 and has taken the world by storm. Popular with adrenalin junkies, paintballing is an action-packed, mission-driven past-time that is heaps of fun with a group of friends or a bunch of colleagues.
The Paintball Centre in Canary Wharf, is London’s largest indoor venue and is incredibly impressive and the 40,000 square feet of ‘play zone’ incorporates three areas: a super air inflatable field, village scene complete with houses and guard towers and a World War II setting. Players are equipped with protective clothing and special marking guns, with fire bio-degradable paintballs that just whistles through the air and are accurate up to 95 feet.
Teams are set an imaginative variety of missions demanding an essential spot of teamwork, an element of strategy and a little skill.
This particular establishment offers three different packages. Bronze includes one PMI Piranha semi-automatic marker, one JT Radar face mask, 200 rounds of paintballs, overalls and padded gloves. Silver is very similar except you get 500 rounds of paintballs and are given an armoured vest. Gold is identical to Silver except you get 1000 rounds of paintballs.
The centre also has an on-site bar. When you’ve pummelled each other with flying paintballs you can sit down, sink a pint and wax lyrical about the days activities.
Please be aware, booking in advance is essential.
