Walthamstow is the capital’s premier greyhound track, and every Saturday the stands will be packed with well dressed characters shouting their encouragement to the beautiful dogs.
Greyhound racing is a tremendously atmospheric sport. You can marvel at the grace of the animals, study the huge bets of the high rollers for inspiration, have a gamble on the Tote or be entertained by the cockney banter of the Tic Tac bookies. Whatever you do, the races will grip you and a night at the dogs will leave you panting for more. There’s even a disco afterwards where you can blow all your winnings.
