Apparently BRB stands for "bar room bar" but it could just as well mean "bland ropey box" in the case of The Arc. There really isn't much to say about this pub on the corner of Islington and Clerkenwell except that it's not the prettiest or most atmospheric of places you'll come across. This basement bar is rather dark, doesn't have a great selection of beers and, for a place which feels just like a student union, is rather expensive. It's saving grace is a Saturday night comedy evening with The 99 Club where you can watch three top acts for a tenner.
