The wonderfully-named Black Lotus Karate Club is a new and vibrant venue to open in Shoreditch. Located in the Scrutton Street Warehouse, the nightclub is housed in a building which is also home to four floors of exhibition and studio space, and community roof garden (where tea plants will eventually find their way into pots and infused with boiling water for special members-only parties). Anything from film-screenings, installations, exhibitions and club nights takes place and are run by a collective called Bash Creations, which works in the entertainment field within a sustainable attitude and organic framework.
