The trendification of every last corner of North London continues apace with the opening of this smart bar on a site that was once home to a traditionally grubby and violent Camden music venue. It's very Islington inside, with a wooden floor, dark red colour scheme, comfy sofas, lots of big mirrors and some interesting bits and bobs from the 70s dotted around.
And it's all very nice. There's a slight shortage of seats - not much good for chilling out after a hard day at Camden Market - but this means that there's plenty of floorspace for mingling and dancing. The music policy appears quite laidback from the nights they've had so far, with lots of funky jazz and dance music on the menu. So far, they're not charging for entry, so the 2am weekend license makes this a very tempting prospect for a bit of a post-pub boogie.
