From the people who brought us Mo*vida comes Coco SW5. This part of West London could do with a destination club with interiors and staff uniforms designed by Julien MacDonald. Gold lame sofas, seats that say 'Pussy' and 'What Ya Looking At?' in lurid pink are just the sort of thing the young folk of Kensington and Chelsea need to shake them up a bit. The PR blurb claims this to be a "sophisticated new lounge, bar and nightclub... providing a welcome stylish retreat for the city's glitterati". If you're thinking all that fluff and nonsense is just an excuse to charge extortionate prices for a vodka and tonic prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Prices are comparable to most London night spots where there's a patch of dance floor and a late license. And this is a cut above your average late night sweat box. Most likely, it'll attract the kind of crowd you get at its sister branch, namely people who have dressed up for the night and are on for cutting some shapes on the dance floor.
