Elysium is an extremely upmarket club in the heart of the West End that is actually pretty classy as well as being ruinously expensive. On Thursdays and Fridays they host 'Sintillate' which is a rather bogus members club that pays celebrities to attend so you can feel like a star. However, if you want to run into a soap star or footballer, it's a good bet. Remember, though, that they have been paid to be there, and even if you are just a member of the public, they are likely to assume you have paid hundreds for the privilege of mingling with them.
Elysium has a restaurant, a classy cocktail bar and a smart dress code - it aims to be a refined and cool drinking spot and is actually a lot better than most places around this area. However, it really is terribly expensive, and has no regular crowd.
