One palm tree does not a tropical paradise make. However, it's as close as you're going to get to a beach vibe in central London. Which is why, on hot summer days and sticky summer nights, you'll find happy crowds downing cocktails and munching on tasty bar snacks at Gigalum on the palm-tree adorned terrace outside. OK, so there's only one palm tree at this lively Clapham bar, but it's better than nothing and provides welcome shade in the midday sun. In colder months, there's a modern interior with slouch-inducing pale leather sofas. A decent bar year round but best enjoyed with the sun in your eyes, a frond in your face and a glass in your hand.
