More famous as a stop on the Britpop pilgrimage than a pub in its own right, Camden’s Good Mixer isn’t as à la mode as it was back in the heady days of the Britpop explosion. About ten years ago (has it been that long?) you couldn’t move for bumping into upcoming starlets. Blur, Oasis and Menswear have all been here for a drink or two.
These days it’s another simple, bare London pub. The indie folk still abound, mixing with students and the local crowds of punks and pikeys. Things aren’t so bad; everyone seems to keep themselves amused on the pool tables and clunking coin upon coin into the surprisingly well stocked jukebox.
