The Bull's HeadThe lovely riverside location, just by the railway bridge to the east of Kew Bridge, is the major draw at The Bulls Head where an excellent selection of real ales is served. They make the best of their coveted waterside location with tables so you can sit nursing a pint and looking out over the river. Built in the 1600s, there's a notice outside which tells you that Oliver Cromwell stayed across the river on 'Oliver Island' - legend has it there's a tunnel from here to the Island. Run by Chef & Brewer, the pub food is simple and tasty with choices of beef and Bombardier ale pie, chicken skewers, steak and a traditional roast on Sundays - the only time when bookings are taken as the place gets very busy.
