The Cedar Room
Nearby The Cedar Room

- Visitor Information
Forever changing its face, after a fleeting incarnation as Lush Bar, we now have the Cedar Room at the northern limit of Upper Street.
The proprietors are clearly endeavouring to make it stand out from the row of identikit bars that line the road down to Angel, with a calendar of regular events encompassing speed dating, wine tasting, live music and oh-so-exciting resident DJs. They operate a ‘no house music’ policy, so expect a rocky mix of danceable guitar rhythms.
Food comprises a predictably snacky range of sandwiches, jackets and some surprisingly hearty pies, whilst behind the bar they mix a mean cocktail. Don’t expect a seat on the scarce sofas come the weekend when the place fills to the brim.
Clearly it's neither rocket science nor brave new world but this is a slick operation destined to last a bit longer than its predecessors.
