At 90 metres, The Champagne Bar at St Pancras International is Europe's longest and presents a very glamourous way to start your journey to Paris before leaving on the Eurostar. Sip some bubbly while waiting for your train under the nineteenth century domed glass roof and you feel like you've stepped back in time. The range of champagnes is impressive, with up to 60 types, ranging from pricey enough at £39.95 to 'now you're showing off' at £2,500; there are ten available by the glass, starting at a reasonable £7.50. Part of the £80 million refurbishment of St Pancras, which was reopened in autumn 2007 by the Queen herself, the bubbly bar is just one of a number of places to eat and drink at the station - but undoubtedly the most romantic.
