The East Room is a Shoreditch sibling to Soho A-list (and Premiership footballers') favourite Milk & Honey. It has a similarly gorgeous layout and sense of exclusivity, with the entrance almost unmarked and a membership scheme that makes entry a little tricky without some forward planning. Oddly enough for somewhere so flashy, the big innovation is self-service. Charge a smart-card, and you can serve yourself by the glass, from a wide (if pricey) selection of southern hemisphere wines. You can order food off the menu, but there's also an excellent pan-European buffet. The East Room images
