It's a concept that really shouldn't work, this combination poolroom and nightclub, especially with decor which seems to have been based on the bar of a cheap airport hotel in Southern Europe.
But for some reason we can't quite explain, a trip to The Elbow Room is always great fun. The pool tables attract a wider variety of punters than most London venues can pull in, and the low-level competition gives the place a convivial air that smarter bars in this area struggle to achieve.
