The Hospital has 12
function rooms; the largest can hold a maximum of 300 guests.
Before it was a swanky private members' club - complete with bar and dining rooms, cinema, TV and recording studios - The Hospital was exactly that, a hospital. Now you're more likely to find media types schmoozing over a cocktail than sick and injured patients languishing in the wards. Paul Allen co-founder of Microsoft paired up with Dave Stewart, musician and producer (and one half of the Eurythmics) to create this designer haven where creative types can feel at home. Membership is on the pricey side (at £550 a year) however rooms are also available for hire and, if you know the right people, you can drop in for an art exhibition or a screening without paying the annual membership fee.
