Tucked away behind Regent Street on the edge of Mayfair, this traditional Tudor pub is a favourite with people who work in the area, especially media types and employees of Conde Nast. The pub holds charity and quiz nights, while a popular weekly stand-up comedy event (Upstairs At The Masons) takes place on Tuesday evenings in the upstairs bar. A big fireplace - now gas powered - acts as the centre piece while a recent refurbishment has taken away some of the establishment's former character. That said, it's a great haven if you're seeking solace from the bustling shops or simply a quite drink in an unpretentious pub. Gets busy on Friday nights. No-frills pub menu.
