- Opening Times
The Old Ship sports a spacious balcony that offers fantastic views up and down the river. Inside, a recent refurbishment has done away with the tacky plasma screens and called time on the former cliched Cap'n Birdseye theme. Judging by the decor, it's still a very maritime-infused pub, probably due to its proximity to the river that makes it an ideal viewing spot for the annual Boat Race. The bar has a good selection of drinks - tasty Pimm's and Fuller's ales - and a decent, but rather pricey menu. Outside, however, on a long summer's evening, it's simply magical. LondonTown.com tip - if you are planning to spend an entire day at The Old Ship, rather than dropping in for a pint, you should buy your booze from an Off Licence. Unless you are on the coveted balcony or one of their tables, you are perfectly entitled to drink tins and enjoy the same ambiance, for a tenth of the price.Opening and closing times for The Old Ship
