Lovely, lively pub run by a very international crowd of young barkeeps and chefs who live in appalling conditions above the pub, but give the place real energy and attract a young crowd. The pub of choice for trendy youngsters in this rather sedate area, the Raven has a great music policy, good beers and a very friendly vibe. In summer the action spills out into an extensive back garden.
The food is patchy. It used to be very good and a source of pride for the young cooks, but it's dropped off of late. You can't go wrong with one of their sharing plates though - it's pretty hard to mess up Mexican nachos or Greek mezze.
A great, noisy pub that gets a young crowd in most nights, and occasionally stays open very late if all the kids behind the bar are in the right mood.
