THIS VENUE IS NOW CLOSED FOR BUSINESS.

This was the venue that made Soho what it is today when, back in 1958, Pal Raymond opened the first ever strip bar in the UK. Although the strippers have (mostly) gone, it retains an air of seedy glamour, with deep red leather on the booths and seats, poles everywhere, huge chandeliers, and dim lighting. Not surprisingly, it has been adopted as one of the West End's top transvestite venues, and as a leading light of the burlesque craze. Variety shows, cabaret, costumed club nights and gay/mixed parties (including Elton John's hen night) are the order of the day.
