Victory owner Youcef Aden set up Victory as a new kind of members' club, one where - thankfully - you don't have to pay £500 a year for the privilege of going there. Intended to be a "creative underground hub", members are typically poets, film directors, writers and their muses. City types are permitted, but only if they have an interest in the arts. Aden himself was once costume designer for 1980s soap Dynasty so he has a good idea of what being 'creative' is all about - well, those shoulder pads alone earn him the label. If you pass the creativity test, you can expect flamboyance, fuelled by the Bacardi Bar - where you can mix your own Mojitos. Members can bring up to three guests who can enjoy the brasserie style menu, the 6am licence from Tuesday to Saturday and an ongoing series of events from Victorian street performers to fashion shows and art exhibitions. All very luvvie dharling.
