Havering sits on the north-east edge of the capital with an area approaching 40 square miles. Half of Havering is situated in the Green Belt and boasts three country parks, including Havering Country Park, a favourite riding and hot-air ballooning location, Hornchurch Country Park which is excellent for birdwatchers, and Bedfords Park - a haven for deer.
