Home of English football minnows AFC Hornchurch of the Isthmian League, Hornchurch Stadium sits 300 people and has a capacity for a further 3,000 standing spectators. Located on the banks of the River Ingrebourne (it's more of a stream or a brook, really) in Upminster, Hornchurch Stadium also boasts a six-lane athletics track, which is home to the Havering Mayesbrook Athletics Club. Opened in 1956, the track was resurfaced in 2004 thanks to a donation from the London Marathon Trust. A new fitness room also opened at the stadium in 2002.
