Tucked away behind the Thameslink in King's Cross 06 St Chad's Place is a cafe, restaurant and bar in a striking architecturally designed conversion of a former Victorian warehouse. In this appealing space with its high beamed ceilings and bare brick walls an all-day menu is served up Mondays to Fridays from breakfast at 8am to tapas until 9.30pm with the bar open late. Squire and Partners, the architects behind Reiss HQ and the Rockwell Hotel in London, have created this unique place for the public and their practice. The well presented lunch menu includes enticing things like a salad of smoked trout and parmesan crusted chicken which draws in offices worker from nearby. In keeping with the close proximity to the railway tracks, the whole of the back wall is taken up by a picture of a train pulling into a station.
