Assaggi is the perfect place to drop in for dinner, a trendy, well-run and fairly priced restaurant upstairs from a likeable bar. Last year it suddenly became a celebrity hangout and it was impossible to get a table; this year you should be able to book a few days in advance. Thankfully the crowds have moved on, although you?ll notice the manager still seems to think you should be grateful to get a table. The food consists of Italian / Sardinian classics cooked simply but with care, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there?s a good wine list. It?s a really pleasant place and the best way to end the meal is chatting with the locals in the downstairs bar. Very cool.
