Bam-Bou is located in a Georgian town house, furnished throughout in French-Vietnamese style. This building has a historical past – it once hosted Ezra Pound’s Vorticist movement. Its four storeys now hold 2 dining rooms, 3 private rooms, the Red Bar (cocktail bar) at the top floor. The décor is reminiscent of an opium den – lacquered floors, Vietnamese artifacts and opulent furniture. Head Chef Gary Lee, previously of The Ivy, Le Caprice and Lola’s, designed the restaurant’s South-East Asian influenced menu, a fusion of ingredients from Thailand, China and Vietnam. The wine list is slightly steep although they do serve half-bottles and the selection is substantial. Bam-Bou images
