It was near to the Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles famously walked across a zebra crossing - so creating the iconic image of their last album. Not far from the St John's Wood studios Richard and his wife Irina Porter, both big Beatles fans, set up the Beatles Coffee Shop. For 15 years Richard has been a London Beatles tour guide bringing what he estimates to be well over 100,000 people to Abbey Road. Richard's book 'Guide to the Beatles London' is testament to his love for the pop group and he's the proud holder of the title 'Beatles Brain of Britain'. At the small coffee shop you can get Beatles memorabilia and all sorts of souvenirs as you refuel. It's the perfect way to wind down after paying homage to your heroes by walking in their famous footsteps along the Abbey Road crossing.
