Choose from Eggs Florentine with spinach and Parmesan, Eggs Christophe with smoked salmon or Eggs... Bermondsey. What, you may well ask, is Eggs Bermondsey? Well, since you ask - smoked ham and poached eggs on muffins with hollandaise. Just what the doctor ordered after a large night out and the perfect way to enjoy weekend brunch. There are more traditional mains on offer like steak and sea bass as well as a tasty selection of tapas but brunch is what this place is most famous for and, for my money, the only reason to come here. The talented team in the kitchen was chosen by Ruth Quinlan who worked at that hugely popular gastro joint, The Eagle in Farringdon, for years. Her sous chef, Adam Hicks, has since taken over and the handover was pretty seamless with no perceptible drop of standards.
