Even with limited Italian skills, you can probably work out that Bianco Nero is styled on a black and white theme. Head chef Gateano Monteriso, formerly at La Trompette, is at the helm serving a very respectable Italian menu. Lunch and dinner options vary from warm mussel salad with orange and radicchio to mixed Italian cured meats and cheese to start, pastas like pumpkin ravioli or spaghetti with clams, followed by the main course. Typical choices include pan fried hake fillet with roasted gnocchi and spinach cream or oven roasted saddle of lamb with braised savoy cabbage served with a redcurrant sauce. It's a welcome culinary addition for office workers based on and around the Hammersmith Road - not renowned for its restaurants of this quality.
