With simple, classic décor, sturdy tables, an extensive and delicious junior menu, and extremely friendly staff who will hand out crayons for drawing on the tablecloth, this is one of the best places in London to take children. The jukebox can be a little loud if you sit too close, and it’s always very busy, but this is a superior place. The starters and mains are both excellent, with a wide range of choices cooked to perfection by the well-practised kitchen. The dips and sauces in particular have been perfected over the years and are a real treat.
