A fabulous, fun breath of fresh air from the Ramsay stable, Boxwood is young, buzzing and casual despite its location next to The Berkeley, one of Knightsbridge's more exclusive hotels (though part of the hotel, entrance is via a side door). Stuart Gillies, who has formerly worked alongside Angela Hartnett and at 'Le Caprice', is head chef. He's responsible for dreaming up delicious dishes like white onion soup with roasted shallots and rosemary croutons, roasted loin of suckling pig and carpaccio of pineapple and roasted mango with Campari and blood orange sorbet. The weekday late supper (served from 11pm to 1am) is ideal if you're planning a special birthday supper, post-theatre meal or for finishing up after an evening at the Royal Albert Hall. Booking is advisable.
