Brasserie du Marche aux Puces
Now under new management this superb Brasserie has been a favourite treat for Ladbroke Grove’s wealthier couples for some years. The house speciality is a starter of snails in garlic, a wonderfully rich and pungent dish that’s impossible to resist even out of consideration for your date. Other favourites include delicious whole roasted poussin; the menu in general is rich and meaty, and everything is cooked to perfection. The pommes dauphinoise are the best we’ve tasted. The new management have retained the chef, but dispensed with the mad waiters; a shame as they used to add a surreal touch to proceedings. Prices have also been cut considerably which is a blessed relief. This restaurant provides an unforgettable, delicious evening every time.
Notes:
Booking advisable at weekends.
